The Chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Mikheil Saakashvili, who has announced his resignation, noted that he wanted to leave his post six months ago.
About this politician said in his Facebook.
According to him, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had persuaded him to stay by the promise of reforms.
“Just at this time I was not inclined to believe the promises and the Georgian elections are useless,” – said Saakashvili. Responding to a remark Poroshenko, he added that he was not directly involved in the Georgian elections and couldn’t do, after all, is a citizen of Ukraine.
“Everyone will have to get used to, that I – is a Ukrainian politician and will win victories or suffer defeat in Georgia and in Ukraine”, – said Saakashvili.
