Exchange rates on November 12: the euro dropped below 30 hryvnia

The euro fell below the psychological mark of 30 hryvnia. The last time the European currency was at this level was on July 2, 2020.

The National Bank of Ukraine on Friday, November 12, lowered the hryvnia exchange rate by 4.5 kopecks against the dollar, but strengthened by 20 kopecks against the euro. This is evidenced by the data on the NBU website on Thursday, November 11.

Thus, the dollar exchange rate continues to hold at lows for more than a year and a half, although on the eve it is close to falling below the psychological mark of 26 hryvnia. And the euro for the first time since July last year fell below the level of 30 hryvnia. The last time the European currency was at this level was on July 2.

The National Bank has set official exchange rates at the following level:

– 100 US dollars – 2610.22 UAH (+0.0447 UAH);

– 100 euros – 2991.44 hryvnia (-0.2042 UAH).

In the interbank foreign exchange market, the dollar exchange rate in the sale increased by 2 kopecks – 26.12 hryvnia per dollar, in the purchase it also rose by 2 kopecks – 26.10 hryvnia per dollar. The euro exchange rate on sale fell by 23 kopecks – 29.95 hryvnia per euro.

Recall that last week the National Bank increased the purchase of foreign currency on the interbank market to $ 314.5 million. At the same time, the hryvnia exchange rate rose to its maximum since March last year.
