The decision violates the provisions of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
Ukraine and Poland considered the European Commission decision on granting Gazprom additional access to the European gas pipelines narusheii rules and principles of the Energy community.

“We believe that the decision is not consistent with the rules and principles of the Energy community and contrary to the achievement of the fundamental objectives of the organization – the Association of energy independent Europe. It undermines the principles of the Treaty establishing the Energy community and the rules of the competition,” they said in a statement.
