The media revealed the first details of the EU decision on suspending bezveza for third countries

The draft decision must be approved by the European Parliament Committee on civil liberties, justice and home Affairs.
On Wednesday the results of the next round of negotiations between the EU Council, the European Parliament and the European Commission adopted a draft legislative resolution on a new mechanism for suspension of visa-free regimes with all third countries, on which depends the decision on the abolition of visa requirements for Ukrainian citizens.

Further, according to procedure, the draft decision must be approved by the European Parliament Committee on civil liberties, justice and home Affairs.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, December 8. After that, the resolution will be put to a plenary vote of the legislative body of the EU.
We will remind that earlier the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko announced encouraging news from Brussels on the results of his contacts with EU leaders on a compromise bezveza for Ukraine.
“The compromise concerning the mechanism of suspension bezveza found. Now the word of the EU Council at the level of ambassadors and the European Parliament. Keep the question under special attention”, – said Poroshenko.

Recall, from 21 to 24 November in Brussels hosted the summit Ukraine-EU, which Ukrainian politicians had high hopes in getting the particular date of the decision on visa-free regime for Ukrainians. Ukraine has fulfilled all the requirements of the action Plan on visa liberalization – at least it showed the European Commission and EU ambassadors. However, the procedure began to falter before the last two bodies that must agree on the decision. It is the European Parliament and the EU Council.
