Today, December 19, in Brussels Ukraine and the European Commission signed the financing agreement of the joint operational programmes for cross-border cooperation at 365 million euros.

“December 19, 2016 in Brussels took place the ceremony of signing the Ukrainian government and the European Commission agreements on the financing of the joint operational programmes for cross-border cooperation for 2014-2020: “Ukraine – Romania”, “Ukraine – Hungary – Slovakia – Romania”, “Ukraine – Poland – Belarus”, “Black sea” in the framework of the European neighbourhood policy instrument”, – stated in the message.

He Ukrainian government, his signature to the agreement was signed by first Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of economic development, Stepan Kubiv, and from the European Commission – the Director of the Department of the Eastern partnership Lawrence Meredith.

The total budget that the EU allocated for the funding of four programs that will be more than 365 million euros.

The program will by grant of EU aid to Finance a number of joint projects, particularly in the areas of improving the infrastructure of the border regions; solutions to common problems in the field of security and law enforcement; support for the border management and security border management in the sphere of migration; protection of the environment from climate change and natural disasters, the use of renewable energy sources; support of entrepreneurship and development of small and medium enterprises; support education, research, technological development and innovation and development of local culture and historic preservation.

We will remind, in September, Ukraine received a loan of $ 1 billion from the IMF. Another $ 1 billion came from the placement of Eurobonds under guarantee of the government of the United States.
