The head of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine Alexander danyluk said that the nationalization of “PrivatBank” will not affect the hryvnia.
He stated in the channel 24.
“The situation with “PrivatBank” will not affect the hryvnia,” – said the Minister of Finance.
In the broadcast channel “112 Ukraine” danyluk added that he sees no risks to the hryvnia and inflation in Ukraine in connection with the nationalization of the largest Ukrainian Bank.

“The funds that will be contributed to the authorized capital of “PrivatBank”, they were provided in the budget for 2016 and therefore it will not lead to unbalance of the budget for both the current and next year. All planned and predictable, reliable, and at the same time strongly,” – said danyluk.

“PrivatBank” is now public. The authorities claim that customers will not be affected, money, nobody will lose, the hryvnia will not fall. This is not the final changes that are waiting for “Privat”. Further, its plan to rehabilitate and sell in private hands.
We will remind, in the evening of 18 December , the government of Ukraine adopted a decision on nationalization of “PrivatBank”. It is assumed that the state represented by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine will become the owner of 100% shares of the Bank. It ensures the smooth functioning of the institution and preserve the funds of its clients.
“PrivatBank” will be headed by former Finance Minister and one of the top managers in the 1990-ies Oleksandr Shlapak.
