In “Energoatom” exposed massive corruption scheme and arrested involved in
6 Feb NABOO detectives have detained five people allegedly involved in the corruption scheme appropriation of funds one of nuclear power plants Energoatom in the amount of UAH 30 million.
This is stated in the message of NABOO.
In particular, we are talking about part 5 of article 191 of the Criminal code of Ukraine “Assignment, waste of property or taking to them by abuse of official position”.
Among the detainees is an officer of the NPP “Energoatom” and the four representatives of commercial structures.
During the investigation, the detectives NAB has established that the detainees in public procurement using a number of controlled entities, provided the supply of components for nuclear power plants at inflated prices.
It is reported that prices exceeded the market in the 18-34 times.
We will remind, the court withdrew the arrest from the accounts of “Energoatom”, which the SBU uncovered a corruption scheme. This was reported in Facebook Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman.
He noted that this decision will allow Ukraine to fulfil its financial obligations to its European and American partners, including credit agreements and to restore the confidence of foreign banks.
