In the Kremlin commented on the desire of the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych to write a letter to world leaders.

“About mediation in the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis — I would have left it without comment. Of course, the role of the facilitator requires the consent of all parties to the conflict… You know it was Ukraine, there was a civil war. Russia is not a party to the conflict, so Kiev and the Donbass must first come together in that understanding,” – said the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.
According to him, Russia, France and Germany are the guarantors of the Minsk agreements.
“But, unfortunately, together we can not yet boast that they managed to do some required distance towards the implementation of the provisions of the Minsk agreements”, – he said, answering the question whether Yanukovych to mediate in resolving the crisis.
