The GPU has denied the information on carrying out searches of Marushevskaya
In the Prosecutor General of Ukraine has denied information about the searches in the apartment of the former head of the Odessa customs Yulia Marushevskaya.
About this on his page in Facebook wrote press Secretary of the PGO Larisa Sargan.
“The searches in the apartment Marushevskaya was conducted. The Prosecutor General’s office is investigating the actions of officials of the Odessa customs from November 2015 to November 2016,” said Gar.
According to her, employees of the GPU are investigating the activities of officials of the Odessa customs which may be involved in the creation of conditions for registration of customs declarations for import to Ukraine of goods at an undervalue from November 2015 to November 2016.
“Verified the suspicion that acting on a prior agreement, the interests of third parties, they may be allowed to understate the value of goods that passed customs clearance. Accordingly, the amount of the fee that was charged to the state budget was also underestimated. In the result of criminal acts caused damage to the state in the amount of 6.92 million UAH”, – she wrote.
Sarhan added that the investigation is conducted by Investigative Department of investigation of particularly important cases of the Main investigation Department of the GPU in conjunction with the operational staff of the Main Directorate for combating corruption and organized crime SBU.
“In the pre-trial investigation simultaneously conducted over 60 searches in the Kyiv, Odessa and Lviv regions. The investigation continues,” said Gar.
Earlier, the former head of the Odessa customs Yulia Marushevska said that her apartment trying to search the SBU and the GPU. According to the former official, she is abroad and investigative actions are trying to hold while she is in the country.
