Klimkin told the senators about the shocking number of Russian weapons in the Donbas
In the uncontrolled territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions are 4200 war the regular army of the Russian Federation and about 40 thousand fighters.
This was stated by the foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin during a speech in the Committee on appropriations of the U.S. Senate.
According to him, now in the Donbas more than 400 Russian tanks, more than 730 artillery systems and more than 200 reactive systems of volley fire, 413 units of air defense. In addition, about 23 thousand Russian soldiers are in the occupied Crimea.
“Just a few hours ago, the Russian representative at the International Court made the ridiculous statement that Russian-backed militants found all the weapons in the old Soviet coal mines. Can you believe it?” – said Klimkin.

Ukrainian Minister said that the Kremlin has developed the concept of hybrid warfare and launched it together with the illegal annexation of Crimea and intervention in Donbass.
“This is a very complex strategy, which blends traditional aggression with propaganda and misinformation, and interference in the internal Affairs of other countries. It is waged daily against peaceful countries by undermining, destruction and sowing the seeds of schism,” – said Klimkin.
The Minister noted that the war of the Kremlin in the last three years led to the occupation of more than 7% of the territory of Ukraine, the deaths of almost 10 thousand Ukrainian military and civilians, wounds 23 thousand Ukrainians.
“Just in the last 6 weeks the Russians and their supporters began a frenzied attack against our troops and civilians in Avdiivka. Russia recognized passports issued by the illegal entities in Donbas, and has also completed the introduction of the ruble as currency in the occupied territory. In addition, Russia also sanctioned the illegal expropriation of the key enterprises in the occupied territory,” – said Klimkin.

It was reported that Klimkin during a meeting with senators plans to talk about possible ways of collaboration between the United States and Ukraine, as well as the support of Ukraine from the United States, including in the security sphere. The foreign Ministry said that this meeting should give new impetus to Russian-American relations.
