“Samopomich” and urged the government to make laws on occupied territories and the anti-corruption court
Party “Union “samopomich” demands to adopt a law on temporarily occupied territories.
This is stated in the resolution adopted on 12 March at the XI th Congress of the party in Kiev.
“Samopomich” demands from the Verkhovna Rada, the President and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to adopt a law on temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, which should guarantee a cessation of trade with the occupied territories, protecting the professional dignity of the Ukrainian military and their duty to protect the people and the Constitution and preservation of the institutional state and the constitutional order”, – the document says.
Separately, the resolution notes that the recognition of the Russian occupation, the factual and legal blockade of trade with the occupied territories, the intensification of the Ukrainian communities and the inevitability of punishment for corruption today are the key to the preservation of Ukrainian statehood.
In addition, the deputies called on the authorities “to abandon the totalitarian practices of the destruction of local self-government, to restore and develop the financial viability of Ukrainian communities” and “to prevent further reproduction of political corruption, to guarantee responsibility for political corruption and illegal enrichment”.
As consider in “Samopomich”, this can be achieved, in particular, through the adoption of a new law on elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on a proportional basis with open lists; the adoption of the law on the anti-corruption court and the establishment of requirements for every politician, bureaucrat, judge to explain the origin of their property.
