Poroshenko agreed on the allocation of the site for the Museum of the revolution of Dignity
Poroshenko has signed the law on allocation of land for the memorial-Museum complex of the Heavenly hundred Heroes.
About it reported in a press-service of the head of state.
“President Petro Poroshenko has signed the Law of Ukraine “On amendments to section V “Final provisions” Law of Ukraine “On regulation of urban development” on measures to ensure the honoring of the feat of participants of revolution of Dignity and perpetuating the memory of Heroes of Heavenly Hundred” No. 1854-VIII”, – stated in the message.
As explained in Department, the law is aimed at the solution of a question on granting of the land in the Alley of Heroes Heavenly Hundreds (vul. Institutskaya, 3) to Kiev from the lands of communal property in use of the National memorial complex of Heroes of the Heavenly hundred – the Museum of the revolution of Dignity for the construction, operation and maintenance of the memorial and Museum complex.
According to the law, further changing the destination or owner of the land and transfer its part or premises of the memorial Museum complex in the lease is prohibited.
In addition, the law establishes that the construction of the complex should be carried out under the project developed by an open competition to design this complex.
“The competition should be conducted in the order established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the project of construction is approved taking into account the results of public discussion of proposals”, – said the President.
Note, the document was identified by the head of state as an urgent priority for consideration by the Parliament which adopted the law on 21 February 2017.
