Poroshenko told how talks about the meeting with trump
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that talks on holding a meeting with the President of the United States Donald trump promoted “intensively”.
In an interview to Ukrainian TV channels Poroshenko recalled that he had held two telephone conversation with trump. According to the Ukrainian President, the situation in Ukraine in the American establishment, the White house, the U.S. State Department is changing for the better.
“I am confident that the situation in Ukraine in the American establishment, the White house, the state Department is changing for the better. And I am very happy, because there comes a greater understanding, a greater willingness to act decisively in defense of freedom and democracy. I am sure that Russia is disappointed with this outcome, ” – said the head of state.
Poroshenko noted that the Ukrainian-American bilateral relations now have “fantastic momentum”.

“Now, our diplomacy is actively working to ensure that this meeting took place as quickly as possible. But it is crucial that it really took place to a future meeting of the President of trump with the President of Russia”, – he said.
