The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko for the first time in the last few months gave an interview to Ukrainian TV channels. He decided to talk with reporters on a day when at his call the national security Council and defense of Ukraine completely banned trade with ORDO.
In his interview, Poroshenko accused the blockers in the deterioration of the economic situation of Ukraine, explained why the law on occupied territories of Donbass is bad, and even the President commented on the case Nasirov and justify the need for the adoption of the law on dual citizenship.
EARLY ELECTIONS WILL NOT BE
The head of state said that he would not sign the decision on early elections of the Verkhovna Rada.
According to the President, the state now has a chance to use the time between the planned elections in order to implement reforms and get their first fruit in the form of economic growth. This Poroshenko noted that he has a legal right not to sign the decree on dissolution of Parliament.
“I want to reassure the opposition and to emphasize that no early parliamentary elections in which interested Russia, which is interested in destabilizing the situation, I do not give” – said Poroshenko.
CRITICISM OF BLOCKADE
Petro Poroshenko claims that the organizers of the blockade of trade with the occupied Donbass didn’t want the negotiations to control the movement of goods, but only PR.
Poroshenko recalled that even before the blockade was enacted a special procedure for the movement of goods across the line of demarcation. The government offered to open dialogue with the society in the issue of limiting or preventing the movement of certain goods across the line of intersection, and also offered joint control over the move.
“They came out of the negotiations because the negotiations they do not need. Need PR, we need conflict, we need to destabilize the political situation in Ukraine. And this is another proof that the script was not written in Ukraine. Sincere, open, transparent feelings of the volunteers, to all who sincerely supported these actions, were just used,” – said Poroshenko.

The President stressed that this time the Ukrainian enterprise in the occupied territory of Donbass remain the anchors that this area is kept Ukraine. And would have become a pillar of the reintegration of these lands after their de-occupation.
