Nasalik proposes to extend the state of emergency in the energy sector for another month
In Ukraine need to extend a state of emergency in the energy sector, which came into force on 17 February, another month. This draft decision by the Minister of energy and coal industry of Ukraine Igor Nasalik has made to the government’s agenda, according to “Nashi Groshi”.
So, Nasalik believes that the country needs to save coal, because the Ukrainian thermal power plants it is not enough because of the blockade ORDO.
“As of March 14, the coal reserves in warehouses TPP are 1 755 thousand tons, including anthracite 650 thousand tons, gas group – 1 105 thousand tons”, – reported in the explanatory note signed by Natalika.

At the same time, half of the stocks of anthracite, which is 318 thousand tons, concentrated in warehouses Luhansk TPP of Rinat Akhmetov, who works exclusively on the selected energorayone Luhansk region and does not provide electricity in the General system of Ukraine.
Daily TES burn 10-15 thousand tons of anthracite. Therefore, all other thermal power plants anthracite coal is now less minimum reserve set by the rules of the Wholesale electricity market.
The extension of emergency in the energy sector will help to reduce the spinning reserve capacity to the power station of 700 MW in normal mode up to 400 MW with daily savings of 3 tons of coal.
We will remind, the emergency measures introduced for a month, until March 17, for the sake of economy of anthracite coal.
