In “Naftogaz” predict the bankruptcy of the company in case of loss of “Gazprom” in the Stockholm arbitration
“Naftogaz” admits the bankruptcy of the company in case of loss of “Gazprom” in the Stockholm arbitration.
This was stated by chief commercial Director of “Naftogaz of Ukraine” Yuriy Vitrenko during the online interview to the edition “New time. Business.”
“The state is not liable for the obligations of “Naftogaz”. “Naftogaz “will simply be bankrupt. Our assets in liquidation “Naftogaza” will be sold, and the creditors within a particular queue will receive the corresponding money,” he said.
Also, Vitrenko said that the Ukrainian gas transport system and special solutions for gas production are state property, so the assets of “Gazprom” will not receive even if Ukraine will lose in court.
At the same time, he noted that he believes the probability of loss of the NAC in the arbitration are low.
We will remind, the Stockholm arbitration court considers the claim “Naftogaz of Ukraine” to Russian “Gazprom”. The Ukrainian side is trying to seek revision of tariff for transporting gas through the gas transportation system of Europe.
The Chairman of the Board “Naftogaz Ukraine” Andrew KOBOLEV said earlier that if you lose in arbitration to “Gazprom” under the contract of purchase and sale of gas the amount of 38 billion, which requires a Russian company, will be unaffordable for “Naftogaz”.
