Rada ratified the agreement with Hungary on loans up to € 50 million for the construction of Ukrainian roads
Today, March 23, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified the Framework agreement between the government of Ukraine and government of Hungary concerning the granting of credit on the terms of mutual assistance for the construction of roads.
This was stated by the Deputy Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine on European integration Viktor Dovgan, the press service Mininfrastruktury.
“The framework agreement defines the following terms of attracting loan to Ukraine to Finance projects:the total amount of credit funds up to 50 million euros; the loan period is 18.5 years; postponement of the loan payment and interest – 1.5 years; interest on the loan is 0%; the purpose of the loan; the financing of investment projects development of cross-border road infrastructure on the Ukrainian-Hungarian state border, and other projects agreed upon by the parties”, – stated in the message.

Also in the Ministry of Infrastructure added that the priority projects to be funded under this Agreement is:
- Construction of a bypass road G. shore and S. Astei
- The overhaul of the road Petrovo – CAT “. Palad’
- Current average repair of the Road M24 (Mukacheve – Berehove)

Additional projects may be identified and approved by the Contracting Parties on the basis of the loan under the terms of tied aid within the framework of this Agreement:
- Current average repair of the road M23 (Beregovo – Vinogradov. Kopania)
- Current average repair of the road M26 (the checkpoint “Vylok” – Vylok – Nevetlenfolu – checkpoint “Djakovo”)
- The overhaul of the road М08 (Bypass M. Uzhgorod – checkpoint “Uzhgorod”)
We will remind, for maintenance, operation, and maintenance of roads of national use , the Cabinet has allocated an additional UAH 500 million. Previously, the record noted that during the current year in Ukraine for 30 billion provided by the state budget and other sources of funding, plan to repair at least 2-2,5 thousand kilometers of roads and almost 80 bridges.
