France and Germany urged Russia to play a constructive role in the implementation of the Minsk agreements
The French Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany called on Russia to play a constructive role in the implementation of the Minsk agreements for a peaceful solution to the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
This was reported on the website of the Embassy of France in Ukraine with reference to the statement of the representative of the foreign Ministry of the country.
“In accordance with the decisions taken by the Ministers of the Normandy format on February 18 of this year in Munich, March 24 in Paris held a test meeting with representatives of France, Germany and Ukraine”, – said in a statement.

It is also noted that France and Germany very much regret that Russia was not represented at this meeting.
“The Russian Federation will play a constructive role in the implementation of the Minsk agreements, under which it is signed, for a sustainable and peaceful solution to the Russian-Ukrainian crisis,” – said the foreign Ministry of France.
It is noted that the meeting, which was held with the participation of the four coordinators of the working groups headed by the special representative of the OSCE in the Trilateral contact group on settling the situation in Donbas Martin Sidikom improved coordination of works carried out in the Minsk and Normandy formats.

“Identified a number of priority areas relating to security, political, economic and humanitarian issues. France and Germany urge the parties to faithfully to join their rapid adoption, under the auspices of the trilateral contact group,” added the agencies.
“We welcome the role played by the Special monitoring mission of OSCE in Ukraine to stabilize the situation on the ground, and encourage Ukraine and Russia to do everything to make possible the full implementation of the mission’s mandate and to ensure the safety of its observers and staff”, – said the representative of the foreign Ministry.
