Ukrainian exports because of the occupation of Donbas and Crimea lost $ 12.9 bn. – Ministry of economic development
In recent years, the loss of Ukrainian exports because of the occupation of the territories of Donbass and Crimea amounted to $ 12.9 bn. when the total loss of exports to 25.2 billion.
This is stated in the draft export strategy, published on the website of the Ministry of economic development and trade.
It is noted that the share of Crimea and the Donetsk and Lugansk regions in total exports of Ukrainian goods dropped from 26.6 % in 2013 to 10.4% in 2015 (data, excluding State statistics service of the ATO zone and Crimea).
In the period from 2013 to 2015 exports from the Donetsk region decreased by 70 %, and in Luhansk – by 93 %.

“The cost of export losses due to these regions together with the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea amounted to 12.9 billion U.S. dollars, while the total loss of export of Ukraine for two years, was 25.2 billion U.S. dollars”, – stated in the draft.
We will remind, according to gosstat, the export of goods from Ukraine to 2016 fell by 4.6% to 36,363 billion.
The deficit of foreign trade in Ukraine in 2016 amounted to 2,886 billion. against 610,7 million. surplus for 2015.
Exports of goods from Ukraine in January 2017 to January 2016 has increased by 48.1 percent to 3,026 billion.
