At KCSA determined at a time when “Kyivenergo” will be disqualified from providing services to the people of Kiev
In April of this year, the city Council must make a decision about the beginning of the process of inventory and transfer of property after termination of the agreement with PJSC “Kyivenergo”, which is now Kiev provides services for heating and delivers hot water. On the termination of cooperation with this company the mayor of the capital Vitali Klitschko said a few months ago.
“The agreement to transfer management and use of PJSC “Kyivenergo” of the property of the city, concluded in 2001, is completed. More than 16 years “Kyivenergo” operated power system of the capital. 31 December 2017 contract ends, but there are intentions to extend its effect until the end of the next heating season. It’s a tough decision we made not to implement strategically important for the city transformation in the midst of the heating season, creating additional technical and organizational risks. However, we need to determine the specific date of the termination of cooperation with “Kyivenergo”,” – said the Deputy Chairman of the KCSA Petr Panteleyev.
The official said that the city government is determined not to cooperate with “Kyivenergo” and to terminate the agreement after completion of the heating season 2017-2018.
“In the framework agreement, which concluded 16 years ago, to achieve the modernization of the energy system impossible. “Kyivenergo”, in fact, did not have responsibility for the volume of modernized networks, the volume of investments. For example, in the past year have not been replaced by a one kilometer of heating systems. For Kiev, this is unacceptable,” said Panteleev.
During the transition period the responsibility for the work of the city power system will take municipal enterprise “kievteploenergo.
We will remind, PAO “Kyivenergo” belongs to billionaire Rinat Akhmetov.
