Ukraine started to buy coal from Africa
Ukraine has started to contract scarce anthracite coal from South Africa and other countries.
This was reported to journalists by the Minister of energy and coal industry Igor Nasalik before the government meeting, UNIAN reports.

“Most of the generation (power generating plants – ed.) has already begun to contract coal from South Africa from other countries. We need about 4.7 million tons on January 1, 2017,” the Minister said.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of energy and coal industry plans to ban the import of coal from Russia. We are talking about scarce anthracite group which is extracted on the uncontrolled territory of Ukraine.
