This was stated by the U.S. permanent representative to the UN, Nikki Haley, writes UKRINFORM.
“Last night, the United States has done a metered step. We are ready to do more, but we hope that this will not be necessary. Now is the time for all civilized countries to stop the horrors that are happening in Syria and demand a political solution,” said the American representative.
“The United States will no longer wait that Assad can use chemical weapons without any consequences. That time is gone. But now we must move to a new stage, to move to a political resolution of this terrible conflict. We expect the Syrian regime and its allies will perceive the political process under the auspices of the UN seriously, what has not yet happened today” – summed up the U.S. permanent representative to the UN.
