Russia violates Ukrainian sovereignty by swiping in the Crimea Yalta forum – Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine

The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine sent to Russia a note of protest in connection with the April 20-22, 2017 so-called “Yalta international economic forum” on the temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation the territory of the Ukrainian Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.

This is stated on the MFA website.

“The event is a flagrant violation by the Russian Federation state sovereignty of Ukraine, laws of Ukraine, universally recognized norms of international law, including UN Charter, Resolutions of the UN General Assembly “Territorial integrity of Ukraine,”A/Res/68/262 of 27 March 2014 and “the Situation with human rights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol,” A/Res/71/205 of 19 December 2016, as well as other multilateral international agreements which parties are Ukraine and the Russian Federation”, – convinced the Ukrainian diplomats.

The Ukrainian foreign Ministry has expressed a requirement that the Russian side has taken “urgent measures for the restoration of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine”.

Ukrainian diplomats have called for an immediate end to the practice of holding without the consent of Ukraine any activities on its sovereign territory.

Recall that the Ukrainian foreign Ministry outraged by the continuous increasing of the Russian occupying authorities on the practice of political repression and persecution against ethnic communities, in particular the Crimean Tatars.

Add that to April 13, 2017 in Bakhchisarai took searches and detention of the Crimean Tatars.
