Poroshenko signed the law on the harmonization of the accounting standards of the EU
President Petro Poroshenko has signed the Law “On amendments to the Law “On accounting and financial reporting in Ukraine” concerning improvement of certain provisions”.

The law will improve the quality of financial reporting and to ensure the implementation of Ukraine’s commitments in accordance with the Association Agreement with the EU.
The document, in particular improving General requirements procedure for the provision and publication of financial reports, statutory regulations and accounting are in accordance with the provisions of the legislation of the European Union.
It is noted that the document comes into force on 1 January 2018, except for the provisions regarding the publication of annual financial statements with an audit opinion on the web page, large enterprises and other financial institutions micro – and small enterprises, which come into force on 1 January 2019.
We will remind, earlier the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on taxation and customs policy Nina Southerner wrote in Facebook that Poroshenko signed it into law. However, on the websites of the Verkhovna Rada and the President had no information about the signing by the head of state of this law.
“The adoption and entry into force of this law is another step towards the creation of a favorable business climate in Ukraine, since it will bring the activity of Ukrainian enterprises to international standards in the field of accounting and financial reporting”, she said.
