“Vodafone Ukraine” will change the tariff for inhabitants of the occupied Donbass
The mobile operator “Vodafone Ukraine” will change tariffs for users that are in non-government controlled areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. Now in the occupied lands will operate the archival tariff “Smartphone Standard”.
As noted in the press service of the company, the changes will come into force in the period from 9 to 15 January 2018, Interfax-Ukraine.

The company explained that this will give subscribers the ability to use services on a daily basis, just paying the day rate. This need stems from the fact that in the occupied territories, the connection does not always work smoothly.
“The company has no ability to maintain and repair failing equipment located on the non-controlled areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. The network is extremely unstable. In this regard, we can not guarantee the full operation of the network and the provision of services in full. Remote service subscribers in the conditions of unstable network is connected with additional costs. Taking into account the existing situation, the tariff “Smartphone Standard” will provide subscribers with communication”, – noted in a press-service of the company.

The fare is 3 UAH per day. It includes unlimited calls in the network “Vodafone Ukraine” and 50 MB 3G/2G Internet. The cost of calls to other networks in Ukraine is 1,5 UAH/min, the cost of SMS/MMS to all mobile networks of Ukraine UAH -1,00/piece, the cost of calls to the border (within the service “0 abroad”: the price is 5 UAH./day, valid for 22 countries) – 0 UAH/min.
The company said that subscribers on the territory controlled by Ukraine tariffs will not change.
“If any of the subscribers somehow fell into the coverage area of base stations with uncontrolled territory, it will be fixed,” – said the press service of the company.
We will remind that in December, the Antimonopoly Committee has fined mobile operator Kyivstar for unfair competition.
