The ECHR considers 3800 complaints against Ukraine because of the war in the Donbas
More than half of the complaints against Ukraine, who are in the queue for consideration by the European court of human rightsrelated to the Russian aggression in Crimea and the Ukrainian-Russian conflict in the Donbas.
This was announced by the ECHR President, Guido Raimondi, reports “Ukrainian truth” .

He said that a large number of cases against Ukraine (the state on this indicator is in fourth place) “to a large extent is connected with these events.”
“In the registry of the court is about 3,800 complaints against Ukraine, associated with it. We also consider 5 inter-state complaint “against Ukraine”, – said the Chairman of the ECHR.
The number of complaints filed by citizens and legal entities against Russia, much less in court was 242 such complaints, according to the ECHR.
The number of cases awaiting review increased slightly compared to the previous year, then the court talked about 3619 cases where the defendant is Ukraine. But the number of complaints against Russia over the same period rose 50% last year in the registry of the ECtHR, there were 160 such cases.
Earlier, the Minister of justice of Ukraine Pavel Petrenko said that most complaints of Ukrainians to the European court of human rights against Ukraine relate to social payments and delayed execution of national court decisions.
