The MP says he was surprised by the flight of ex-President.
The MP and former head of the Kharkiv regional state administration Mikhail Dobkin during the interrogation in the Obolon court on 18 April said that after the in February 2014, the year former President Viktor Yanukovych was going to visit several Ukrainian regions.
According to the MP, all the plans of Yanukovych “was associated exclusively with Ukraine.”

“The only proviso, he told me that in order not to provoke the situation, that there is no escalation, there was no reason for anybody there will be working visits to spend time in several regions of our country,” – said Dobkin.
He added that the then President had planned to visit several regions and the Crimea.
“One of them (cities – Ed.) he called Kharkov, which was. I realized that he was going to fly to the Crimea, his plans were Donetsk oblast, Luhansk oblast, probably, Dnipro, only I don’t remember,” he said.
The politician added that he was very surprised when he learned that Yanukovych left Ukraine.

Obolon court of Kyiv allowed the special court proceedings in the case of Viktor Yanukovych.
He faces up to 15 years in prison.
The court also considers case about the involvement of Yanukovych and his henchmen before the shootings on the Maidan in winter 2014.
