In the Lviv region beneficiaries will offset benefits for travel in monthly installments of at least 135 USD.
This was stated by the head of Department of social guarantees and compensations, planning, financing, and organization and personnel of the Lviv regional state administration Victor Stepaniuc, UNIAN reports.
According to him, this amount turned out at the rate of 30 trips of beneficiaries multiplied by the average fare for urban, suburban and intercity transport. The amount established in accordance with resolution of Cabinet of Ministers about “Some questions of provision of benefits in cash for travel by all modes of transport on urban, suburban and intercity routes.”

“Previously, the payouts in a single month in the region (and there are 301 619 thousand beneficiaries) will be 51 million UAH”, – said the official. He also noted that according to the decree, the payments will be calculated for each beneficiary separately, because different categories are entitled to different types of benefits. “The funds will be paid from the local budget – city councils must take the appropriate decisions,” said Stepanyuk.

“The majority of beneficiaries are retirees, but they are in this resolution is not provided as guaranteed category,” said the official. He also said that 135 hryvnia – is the minimum guaranteed level of payment. Stepaniuc said that the local authorities can extend the list of privileged categories and to increase the amount of payments.
Now consider the issue to introduce such payments in June. According Stepaniuc, the people on the card will receive the funds and they can use them to travel or spend on other needs.
We will remind, earlier the government had prepared the order of monetization of benefits to public transport. To calculate and change the limit to 30 visits in a month are eligible local governments.
