Council of the European Union finally approved the allocation to Ukraine of one billion euros macro-financial assistance.
This was reported by the press service of the Council of the EU in Twitter.

“Today, the EU Council adopted a one billion Euro new loans to cover the financial needs of Ukraine, as well as maintaining economic stability and structural reform programme”, – stated in the message.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has expressed gratitude to the European Union, called the decision a recognition of our progress.
“Profoundly grateful to the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker for the coordinated implementation of our agreements and sincere support of Ukraine. Today’s decision is recognition of our progress on the path of reforms and proof of unity and solidarity with Ukraine in combating internal and external challenges,” he wrote.
Recall that a formal proposal to provide Ukraine with the money of the EU agreed in March. May 29, the decision on granting of the next macro-financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of one billion euros was adopted by the Council of the European Union.
