The representatives of Ukraine in the PACE refused to go to the annual reception to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland and returned the invitation, says TSN.16:45.

As explained by the head of the Ukrainian delegation Volodymyr Ariev, due to the position of Secretary General against the Kremlin, which constantly wants to bring the Russians into the organization. And explains this by the fact that PACE without the contributions of the Russians were in a difficult financial situation. The Ukrainian delegation calls on colleagues to boycott the reception of Secretary General Jagland.

We will remind, Jagland believes that Russia should return to the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to the summit of this organization, which is scheduled for 2019. Jagland believes that it is necessary to remove Russia from the sanctions that have been imposed over the annexation of Crimea and aggression in the Donbas.
