Parliament supported the second reading of bill No. 8294 “On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine on strengthening social protection of people who take care of sick children.”

For the law voted 275 deputies.

According to the law, the amount of the aid payments on the education of sick children will be a living wage for those who become disabled (from 1 July 1435 UAH).

The law provides for the granting of monthly assistance for raising a child who has severe perinatal lesions of the nervous system, severe congenital malformations, a rare orphan diseases, cancer, hematological diseases, infantile cerebral paralysis, severe mental disorders, diabetes type I (insulin-dependent), acute or chronic kidney disease grade IV, or if the child was seriously injured, in need of organ transplantation or palliative care.

The law will come into force from the beginning of 2019.

We will remind, earlier Rada supported the strengthening of responsibility for non-payment of alimony.
