Kiev allocated for education are 6.5 times more money than planned – Klitschko

The capital of Ukraine allocated for the implementation of the project “New Ukrainian school” most funds among all regions of the country.
This was announced by the mayor of the city Vitali Klitschko.
According to him, the state has allocated for Kiev 69.6 million hryvnia, and the city was to allocate the remaining amount is 30%. However, this year the city authorities have invested in education is 6.5 times larger, so the total budget for 2018 is 150 million.

For every first grader allocated 6,3 thousand UAH. These funds will be used for the conversion of schools with modern furniture, desks-transformer, “living floors” and the like. Teachers will create modern jobs.
“The constant increase of funding and effective use of resources to the training and education of our children gives results. Only in the last four years, the city has built or completely renovated 6 schools and 19 kindergartens, and the queue to the kindergartens we have reduced by 12.6 thousand places”, – said Klitschko.

He added that this year the city plans to open a further 11 institutions of education – 3 schools and 8 kindergartens.
