PrivatBank warned about a new scheme of fraudsters with “payments for vaccination”
In no case can you enter your personal data or payment card data on fake websites or mobile services, PrivatBank reminded.
The scammers started sending phishing emails on behalf of the state PrivatBank allegedly with payments for vaccination in the amount of 7000 hryvnia. This was announced by PrivatBank’s press secretary Oleg Serga on his Facebook page on Thursday, November 18.
“PrivatBank has warned Ukrainians about the emergence of a new scheme of mass phishing of personal data under the pretext of payments for vaccination against COVID-19,” the report says.
Serga reminded that in no case can you enter your personal data or payment card data on fake websites or mobile services.
He also published a photo of a message that scammers distribute to PrivatBank customers. It says: “COVID-19 payment is available to you. The amount of payment is 7000 hryvnias”.
To confirm the transfer, the user is offered to click on a phishing link, with the help of which fraudsters can take possession of the client’s banking information and debit his money.
