Officials estimate how many Ukrainians will pay in the payment for electricity
Due to the increase in electricity tariffs from 1 March 2017 the majority of Ukrainians will have to pay more on 9 to 38 USD.
This was announced by Chairman of the National Commission carrying out regulation in the sphere of energy and utilities (NKREKU) Vovk.
“For the vast number of consumers a change in the monthly electricity bills will be from 9 to 38 UAH”, – quotes its a quote by UNIAN.
According to him, 15% of the population that uses up to 50 kWh at the rate of 90 cents monthly expenses will increase by RS 9 for 40% of consumers that use from 50 to 100 kWh per month – 18 UAH, and for households that consume more kWh per month (60%) – increase in monthly bills will amount to UAH 38.
As reported, one kilowatt of new tariffs will cost 90 cents (compared to 71.4 penny before), but only for those who spend sparingly and does not exceed the limit of 100 kilowatts per month. This is not possible – for every spent will have to no longer pay 1,29 UAH, and UAH 1.68.
