Poroshenko said the problem of conflict settlement in the Donbass
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that the problem in the negotiations on conflict settlement in the Donbass is not in the format, and that it is necessary to force Russia to withdraw its troops from Eastern Ukraine.

Thus, the Ukrainian head of state commented on the proposal of the Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Waszczykowski on alternative format of negotiations on settling the conflict in Donbas, Interfax reported.
“The problem is not in the format. We can have any number of formats. The problem is that the Russian Federation – the aggressor must be forced to withdraw their troops from the Ukrainian border, us to regain control of the uncontrolled section of the Ukrainian-Russian border and to give the opportunity to restore Ukrainian sovereignty”, – said Poroshenko.

He also noted that other formats don’t have to destroy the Minsk agreement.
We will remind, on March 1 the Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Waszczykowski said that the British and Polish sides has developed an alternative negotiating settlement of the conflict in the Donbass, however, the final decision remains with the Ukraine. While details of the new format is unknown.
