Ukraine wants the extension of the OSCE mission – Gerashchenko
Ukraine insists on expanding the Special monitoring mission of the OSCE and improvement of monitoring procedures.
This was announced by first Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko on his page in Facebook after the meeting with the European delegation.
“European officials have just returned from Donbass where he studied the security and humanitarian situation. Exchanged views on the effectiveness of the mission the SMM, the OSCE, Ukraine insists on its expansion and improvement of the Assembly’s monitoring procedure”, – she noted.
The MP also told the Europeans about the progress of negotiations for release of hostages within the framework of the Minsk group.
She noted that the European delegation “brought good news on the allocation of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine, and, key, a firm and United position regarding the non-recognition of the occupation of Crimea and Donbas and (gain – ed) sanctions against Russia.”

We will remind that earlier the special monitoring mission of the OSCE should carry out supervision not only along the demarcation line in the ATO area, but also on the temporarily uncontrolled section of the Ukrainian-Russian border.
