Ukraine has moved from the selection of gas from underground storage to fix — Ukrtransgaz
Ukraine has stopped selection of gas from underground storages (UGS) and the beginning of injection, said the head of public relations and press relations of “Ukrtransgaz” Maxim bielawski.
“Ukraine has stopped gas extraction from the storage and start the download: 4.5 million cubic meters per day”, — transfers words Belovskogo Interfax-Ukraine.

Ukraine since the beginning of the heating season, which started October 13, 2016, and March 4, 2017, reduced the reserves of natural gas in underground storage (UGS) 44.1% (6 billion 500,23 million cubic meters) – up to 8 billion 231,8 million cubic meters.
In February, 2017 of the UGS were raised 1 billion 571,53 million cubic meters (average 56.1 million cubic meters/day), and Jan-2017 – 2 bln 101,84 million cubic meters (average of 67.8 million cubic meters/day) in December 2016 and 1 billion 568,64 million cubic meters (average of 50.6 million cubic meters/day) November-2016 – 909,42 million cubic meters (30,31 million cubic meters/day).
The selection of gas from storage a year ago (March 4, 2016) amounted to 47,88 million cubic meters with reserves of 9 billion 806,58 million cubic meters two years ago (4 Mar 2015) from 33.94 million cubic meters with reserves of 8 billion 65,51 million cubic meters.
As of March 4, 2017, the gas imported in the daily mode 43,497 million cubic meters (Slovakia – 38,152 million cubic meters, Hungary – 1,581 million cubic meters, Poland – 3,764 million cubic meters). Gas imports from the Russian Federation Ukraine not implemented from 26 November 2015. In General, during 1-4 March imports totaled 176,967 million cubic meters compared with the second half of February to first days of March, imports fell by more than 10%.
We will remind, recently in the “Naftogaz” reported that the Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities after the winter was 8.2 billion cubic meters of gas.
“It is further proof that we were ready for the cold winter, and frost until March. Another heating season is complete without a purchase from “Gazprom” (468 days). Gas independence from Russia is confirmed,” — said in the message “Naftogaz”.
