Russia denied the letter Yanukovych requested Russian troops to Ukraine

Russia denied the letter deprived the title of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych with a request to use Russian forces in Ukraine.

This is stated in the letter from the Prosecutor General to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, which was announced by the head of GPU, Yury Lutsenko.

The letter says that neither the administration of the President of the Russian Federation, nor the Federation Council had not received any letter of Yanukovych on the use of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine.

Also in the Prosecutor General’s office claim that any of the statements of Yanukovych was not the reason for the appeal of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Federation Council for permission to use Russian troops in Ukraine.

Yuriy Lutsenko doubted the truthfulness of the message of the Russian Prosecutor General’s office.

We will remind, the state office of public Prosecutor of the Russian Federation expressed readiness to organize the interrogation of former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych on the territory of Russia in the presence of Ukrainian investigators.

Earlier , Yanukovych said that had a number of questions to the GPU is relatively open against him of high treason. Yanukovych said that is not properly received suspicion of treason, and therefore asked not to consider himself a suspect. This is stated in the letter by the former President to the Pechersk court on January 18.

Suspicion Yanukovych has declared the public Prosecutor of Ukraine Yury Lutsenko during video interrogation of a former head of state. At the same time Lutsenko has declared that will give the documents to lawyers who were present at the hearing, and will give properly in Rostov. Note that the main argument of the prosecution was a letter from Yanukovych to Putin asking for military support.
