Protection Yanukovich declared the termination of the in absentia proceedings against the President-the fugitive
Correspondence investigation against Viktor Yanukovych was dismissed in accordance with the Criminal procedural code of Ukraine. This was announced by the lawyer Vitaly Serdyuk, representing the interests of the President of the fugitive.

The lawyer said that after receiving the Prosecutor General of Ukraine the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation official confirmation of the residential address of Yanukovych and consent to contribute to the fulfillment of all necessary proceedings, the Prosecutor General’s office alleged there is no reason to apply the fugitive the procedure for special (private) pre-trial investigation.
