“Waiting for the call to the SBU,” Saakashvili refused to go on interrogation in the state office of public Prosecutor

Deprived of Ukrainian citizenship, the leader of the party “Movement new forces,” Mikheil Saakashvili is ready to go in for questioning only to the security Service of Ukraine, and not to the Prosecutor General.

He stated this in the lobby of the General Prosecutor’s office on Reznitskaya street, Kiev, UNIAN news Agency reports.

“They accused me of being a coup. Let SBU is investigating. We have them (GPU – approx.ed.) gave his greeting. And I’m waiting for the call on interrogation in SBU, where I will give all the necessary testimony,” – said the politician.

In turn, the lawyer Saakashvili Ruslan Chernolutsky noted that the case against Saakashvili, opened on 4 December (on the grounds of part 1. article 256 (promotion of members of the criminal organizations and concealment of their criminal activity) the Criminal code of Ukraine), accused the SBU, therefore, for questioning at the Prosecutor his client would not go.

“According to the decision of the public Prosecutor Lutsenko from December 5, is the jurisdiction of the SBU, so we should not have to come for interrogation to some unknown group of prosecutors without authority. Saakashvili did nothing wrong, he came at 9:30, but earlier he filed a motion that violated procedures and requests to the SBU,” – said the defender.

Separately Chernolutsky noted that on Tuesday, December 19, at 11:30 in Appellate court of Kiev will be considered an appeal of the trial court’s decision concerning a measure of restraint Severiano Dangadze – ally Saakashvili, who is suspected of involvement in fraud with the Ukrainian oligarch-fugitive Serhiy Kurchenko.

He Saakashvili has already accused the government of provocation in the October Palace and says he wasn’t called on his supporters to storm.
