Manafort paid European politicians for lobbying of the government of Yanukovych – media

A former American adviser to Viktor Yanukovych and “Party of Regions”, as well as the former head of the electoral headquarters of Donald trump by Paul Manafort was paid to the European politiciansto adhere to the Pro-Ukrainian positions, that is supported by the then government of Viktor Yanukovych.

This is stated in the new indictment against Manafort, reports “UNIAN” with reference to the edition of the Washington Examiner.

According to the indictment, Manafort, with the help of longtime companion, the River gates “secretly bribed a group of former senior European politicians to take a favourable for Ukraine’s position, including by lobbying in the United States.”

As reports the edition, the group, led by former Chancellor of Europe “provide an independent evaluation of the actions of the Ukrainian government, “when, in fact, were paid for by lobbyists for Ukraine”.

“In 2012 and 2013 Manafort used at least four offshore accounts to attract more than 2 million euros, to pay a group of former politicians,” – said in the indictment.

The newspaper also reports that a Grand jury in Washington has approved a new batch of charges against Manafortconsisting of 32 items.
