Advisor to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration Yuriy Golik said that the overhaul of public roads of the area (roads in settlements) in the current year are allocated according to the budget of the region, 1 billion hryvnia.

“This is a record amount for all previous years,” said Golik. In 2017, these costs amounted to 600 million hryvnia.

According to Golik, work will begin next week, since the forecasts at this time will be favorable weather conditions.

According to the report on the work of the RSA in 2017, the region was overhauled 160 routes with a total length of 300 km in 94 settlements, and since 2015 – 450 pathways.

“Been three years since the appointment of Valentin Reznichenko Governor on each of the repaired road are warranted for five years. A number of old contractors finished its activity in criminal cases. Left to work, those who guarantee the quality,” said Golik.

Guide Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration emphasizes that it is responsible for roads which are on balance of the region, however the roads of national significance (between settlements) are the responsibility of the state Agency “Ukravtodor”.

“We, as team President Petro Poroshenko, are aware that the road is one of the indicators of economic development all over Ukraine. So we’re fixing up the road that didn’t fix decades, and demand of contractors guarantees”, – said the head of Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration Valentin Reznichenko.
