According to the head of the state, without Ukraine, Russia is a normal state.
Russia destroyed postoyannuyu security, and NATO remains the only effective mechanism of protection, convinced the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
“Can you imagine that nearly three thousand Ukrainian soldiers have been killed? More than ten thousand civilians were killed. Who is responsible for these innocent victims? Putin”, – said Poroshenko during the participation in the Symposium “NATO draws”.
According to the President, the current postorna policy and system, which was based on the UN security Council and a unanimous decision by the permanent members was destroyed.

“When one of the members of the UN security Council is the aggressor, this mechanism no longer works, it is completely destroyed. Practice shows that the only effective mechanism is the NATO. There is no other mechanism. And a country that doesn’t want anyone to attack, and wants only to protect its sovereignty, independence and integrity, wants to cooperate and be a member of NATO,” – said the President.
In turn, the head of state reminded that the last four years, thousands of Ukrainian soldiers with arms to protect themselves and the sovereignty of Ukraine.
“Why is it so important to Putin? Very simple. With Ukraine, Putin transformerait Russia into an Empire. Without Ukraine, Russia is an ordinary country”, – said Poroshenko.
