The channel does not see violations of the legislation of Ukraine during the program “Victory. One for all”.
The TV channel “inter” will appeal the decision of the National Council on television and radio about the imposition of a penalty in connection with the broadcast of the program for the Day of Victory “Victory. One for all”.
This is stated in the press service of the channel.
According to the company, an extraordinary inspection of the channel “has not provided a reasoned and reasonable evidence of violations of the law”. “Their objections to baseless accusations the channel has filed in the national Council. Among other things, the TV station noted that the public holiday Day of Victory over Nazism in World war II (Victory Day) was dedicated thematic program “Victory. One for all”. In the program “inter” has openly condemned Nazism and recalled the role of Ukraine in the victory over him. The condemnation of Nazism is the norm for democratic societies in the last 70 years, including at the legislative level. In 2006 PACE resolution On “combating the resurgence of Nazi ideology” among other things, noted that the criminal activities of the Nazi policies and actions was categorically proven and convicted by a military Tribunal in Nuremberg in 1945-1946,” believe on “inter”.

In this case, the channel is convinced that the statements which were used during the program, allegedly testify solely on the condemnation of Nazism as a manifestation of fascism. “The TV channel “inter” will protect the interests of its viewers and is appealing the decision of the national Council in court”, – said in the appeal.
Recall, the TV station showed the concert on may 9 Victory Day, where presenters spoke about the renaming of streets in Ukraine, “the names of Nazi criminals”. Earlier, in 2016, the office of the TV channel “inter” became the object lock and even attacks members of radical organizations.
