The Turks will be able to trade peaches and apricots.
Russia has opened access to its market for citrus and stone fruit (peaches, apricots – ed) fruits from Turkey.
This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin after a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, writes the Russian “Interfax”.
“This decision is mutually beneficial, Russian agriculture does not produce such products. But the entry of Turkish products may lead, we hope, to lower prices in the domestic market,” he said.
“For Turkish partners is, of course, the opening of the Russian market. Sales of these products totaled $ 500 million last year, so this is a significant decision,” – said Putin.
Erdogan following the meeting said that the process of normalization of Russian-Turkish relations there is an active pace.
