Expert Vladimir Razumovsky calls this business the usual corruption scheme. Supposedly, the firm’s family Martynenko buy for next to nothing seedlings and resell it several times more expensive, posing for varietal trees or bushes. It happened not only chestnuts, but also from lime trees and maples. And accompanies these transactions such a counselor Maxim Petukhov, who after the scandal with the chestnuts for a while disappeared, and now reappeared in Zelenstroy and affects the choice in the procurement of the plants.

Executive Director of the Association “Ukrainian vegetable industry” Stanislav Dontsov compared planted in the center of Kiev with real varietal trees and came to a disappointing conclusion. “We see a number of trees that were planted by the utilities this year, and see the result in what condition they are.
