The third province of Canada in 2016, proclaimed Ukrainian the year.

In the canadian province of Alberta proclaimed the Ukrainian, the company introduced the official holiday of Ukrainians on 7 September.

This was announced by Ukraine’s Ambassador to Canada Andriy Shevchenko on his own page in Facebook.

“The Parliament of the province voted for Ukrainian Canadian Heritage Day Act. The document declares Ukrainian the year in the province and introduces the annual celebration of the Ukrainians of Alberta – 7 September,” he wrote.

According to him, this is the third province of Canada, which in 2016, proclaimed Ukrainian the year.

Informed decision is supported by the province of Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

We will remind that earlier the government of Canada filed in Federal Parliament a bill required for ratification of the Agreement on free trade with Ukraine (СUFTA).

This was stated by the Minister of international trade of Canada Chrystia Freeland.
