US expects from Ukraine the early establishment of an anti-corruption court

According to Jovanovic, the system of electronic declarations is the beginning of a process of detection of corruption in Ukraine.
U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch stated the necessity of creating an anti-corruption court and the extension of the powers of NABU. According to her, States is ready to support the Ukrainian government in the fight against corruption.
In an interview with ZN.UA Jovanovic noted that the system of electronic declarations is the beginning of the discovery process and curb corruption in Ukraine.
“A wave of General indignation corruption indicates the need to preserve and expand the powers of the NEB associated with the investigation, and to create an anti-corruption court as soon as possible. We are ready to support the efforts of the Ukrainian Government in the fight against corruption, and recognize that the system of electronic declarations of assets is the beginning, not the end of the process identify and stop corrupt practices”, – said the Ambassador.

According to Yovanovitch, the U.S. side hopes that the Ukrainian law enforcement bodies to timely detect, and investigate suspicious corruption cases that were opened during the e-Declaration.
U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine also commented on the situation in the Donbas and the implementation of the Minsk agreements. In particular, she stressed that Ukraine will not demand the execution of the unilateral political obligations. Local elections in the Donbas can be held only with the necessary conditions for security.

“Ukraine will not be drafted unilaterally to implement their political commitments before Russia will fulfill its obligations under the security. Local elections can be held only with the necessary conditions for security, according to Ukrainian legislation, and in accordance with the standards of the OSCE”, – said Jovanovic.
We will remind, earlier the U.S. State Department called the success of system implementation of e-Declaration in Ukraine and drew attention to the need to prosecute those who used public office to enrich.
