President Petro Poroshenko during an official visit to the Kingdom of Sweden held talks with speaker of the Swedish Parliament urban Ahlin and leader of the Moderate party of Sweden Anna, Kinberg Batra.
This is stated on the website of the President.
The President thanked the speaker and to the Swedish Parliament for such strong support of Ukraine, which is evidence of a genuine partnership. The interlocutors discussed a safe situation in the Donbass, the implementation of the Minsk agreement and de-occupation of Crimea.
The President thanked for the consistent position of Sweden in relation to non-recognition of illegal annexation of Crimea and support for the sanctions regime against Russia.
The speaker of the Riksdag (Parliament) stressed the importance of continued sanctions against Russia until full recovery of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The President also thanked the delegation of the Riksdag in Parliamentary assemblies of the OSCE and the Council of Europe for supporting Ukraine. “We are very grateful to all parties of the Riksdag who support us. It is unique, when the government and the opposition say in unison in matters concerning support of Ukraine”, – said Poroshenko.
In turn, the leader of the Moderate party noted the successful promotion of Ukraine on the way of reforms and assured that her political force will continue to support legislative initiatives to provide Ukraine with comprehensive assistance and support.
The interlocutors also coordinated position on non-implementation of politically motivated energy projects, in particular Nord stream-2.
