According to the Consul, the prisoners were repeatedly tortured to extract testimony.

Ukrainian political prisoners Mykola Karpyuk and Stanislav Klyhbeing held in a Russian prison, through consuls of Ukraine submitted the documents for the preparation of the claim to the European court of human rights.

This was announced by the Consul General of Ukraine in Rostov-on-don Vitaly Moskalenko, UNIAN reports.

“Today, consular officials of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Rostov-on-don visited SIZO-1 in Grozny Ukrainian political prisoners Mykola Karpiuk and Stanislaus Cliche arrested in the result of an insidious intelligence operation of the Russian Federation and convicted by a Russian court on flagrantly fabricated charges for alleged “participation in the second Chechen war, part of a group of militants led by Arseniy Yatsenyuk,” – said Moskalenko.

He stressed that no Karpyuk, no Klyh earlier in Chechnya have never been.

“In prison for beating testimony to the Ukrainians used a brutal torture, in particular, connected to particularly sensitive parts of the body like electrical currents, used psychotropic drugs,” reminded Moskalenko.

“Karpyuk and Klyh signed and handed over to the consuls of the necessary documents for the preparation of the claim to the European court of human rights. Raise your voice for freedom invincible fighters”, – he added.
